Using Artificial life simulations to understand the evolution of modulairty in the context of hierarchical environments. In particular, to understand how modularity affects the robustness of a system and how alterations in robustness affect the evolution of the overall hierarchical system. In addition, the aim of the project is to understand the realtionship between environmental and agent complexity.
