Increasing urbanisation and projected climate change have led to the need for enhanced design guidance for the built environment. Designers and planners need to be aware of the effects that urban climates will have on the performance of their buildings. In turn, they should also take into consideration the impact of their developments on their local exterior climates. The aim of the project is to produce simplified and robust decision support tools to assess these impacts. This will be in the form of practical software tools and improved CIBSE guidance.
